Overview

Pin-formed pillar candles come out of the mould solid, with the wick fitted afterwards. This bench machine drills that hole.

Doing it by hand is where the quality goes: a hole drilled off-axis puts the wick off-centre and the candle burns down one side; a hole drilled too shallow leaves the wick loose. The pneumatic cylinder gives a controlled, repeatable feed stroke, the clamping block holds the candle square to the drill, and the motor-and-gearbox drive keeps the bit at a steady speed through the wax.

Built on a welded steel bench frame with a side-mounted control switch. Drill diameter, stroke depth and clamp tooling are built to your candle.
